The Israeli media spoke about a secret clause included in the American document that paved the way for the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, related to Iran.

Israeli Channel 12 reported, Thursday, that there are clauses related to Iran that haven’t been revealed yet, but it revealed some of them, including the most sensitive clause, which indicates American approval to deal with Israel in the Iranian file.

The Israeli channel explained that the two-and-a-half-page American guarantee letter includes what is called in Israel the “Iranian section,” and stipulates that the United States pledges to work with Israel with the aim of preventing Iran from destabilizing the region and confronting its strengthening of its position in Lebanon.

Channel 12 indicated on its website that the document includes an American request or warning to Israel, stating that if the latter decides to attack Iran, it must inform Washington in a timely manner.

The document pointed out that the role of the United States as head of the monitoring mechanism for the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel makes it leads and direct the Lebanese army to prevent violations and provide effective monitoring to ensure that the agreement isn’t violated.

Channel 12 quoted an Israeli minister who reviewed the document, describing it as a great achievement, as it guarantees the entry of the United States into Lebanon as a de facto entity, as the main party responsible for implementing and monitoring the agreement.

The ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah party went into effect at 4:00 am, on Wednesday, November 27, Beirut and Tel Aviv time, ending about 14 months of cross-border shelling and intense fighting between the two sides in southern Lebanon.

The agreement, brokered by the United States and France, stipulated a 60-day ceasefire, during which Israeli forces would withdraw from southern Lebanon and Hezbollah would move north of the Litani River, to be replaced by Lebanese army forces and UNIFIL.

Both the Lebanese government and the Israeli side had taken the necessary measures to fully implement UN Resolution 1701, which ended the 2006 war between Hezbollah and Israel.
