Putin: The US administration has failed to isolate Moscow and wants to impose a new colonial regime on the world
Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the United States is trying to weaken the Russian economy by imposing new sanctions and increasing tension in Russia socially and politically.
Putin added that they are doing their best to prolong and further fuel the conflict in Ukraine, explaining that they provoked this conflict by supporting the armed coup in Kiev in 2014, and then the war in the Donbas.
Washington and its followers reject every time all Russian attempts to peacefully resolve the situation in Ukraine, he said, while providing the Kiev regime with money, weapons and intelligence, pushing it to use weapons to strike civilian targets, and threatening to send their military units to Ukraine.
The Russian president stressed that all attempts by the West to contain and isolate Russia have failed, no matter how difficult they may be.
In a related context, Putin stressed that Washington sees the legitimate desire of other countries for independence as a threat to their hegemony in the world, noting that countries that do not agree with the American approach face severe external pressure.
He added that the United States wants to impose a neo-colonial dictatorship on the world.
In return, “Russia is ready to cooperate closely with North Korea in order to make international relations more democratic and stable,” the Russian president said.
In this context, Putin announced that Moscow and Pyongyang will work to develop payment mechanisms that aren’t controlled by the West, stressing that they will jointly face illegal (American and Western) restrictions.
In a show of rapprochement between the two countries, Putin stressed that his country highly appreciates North Korea’s unwavering support for the Russian special military operation in Ukraine.
In the same context, the Russian president stressed that Moscow will continue to support the people of North Korea in the confrontation with the United States for their right to choose development independently, stressing that the South Korean people are fighting for their freedom, sovereignty and national traditions.
Declaring that the two sides will work to develop humanitarian cooperation and increase mutual tourism trips and cultural exchange.
Putin also stressed that Pyongyang has made tremendous achievements and real breakthroughs in strengthening defense power and other fields.
Putin also declared in his article for the North Korean newspaper his intention to build an equal and indivisible security architecture in Eurasia.
It’s noteworthy that what the Russian president said, comes ahead of his visit to North Korea and Vietnam, which is scheduled to last two days, from Tuesday until Thursday.
The Russian ambassador to North Korea, Alexander Matsegura, announced that preparations for Putin’s visit to Pyongyang are underway, while the Russian president’s aide, Yuri Ushakov, said that a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement between the two countries is expected to be signed after the visit.
The Russian president accepted the invitation of his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong Un to visit North Korea during their summit in Russia last September, on the understanding that the visit would take place at the time Putin deems appropriate.
The summit was held at the Vostochny space base in Vladivostok in eastern Russia, where Kim arrived on a train, where the two presidents held talks on trade relations and international affairs.
While the two presidents stressed the importance of strategic relations between their countries and working to develop them, Washington expressed concern about the talks, with National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby expressing concerns about any prosperous defense relations between North Korea and Russia.
