Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed, on Wednesday, his confidence that his country and Turkey will continue cooperation in the new year in order to strengthen the security and stability of the Eurasia region.

This came in a telegram sent by Putin to his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the occasion of New Year’s Day, according to a statement issued by the Russian presidency (the Kremlin).

In the telegram, Putin expressed his satisfaction with the progress of Turkish-Russian relations in all fields.

He added, “Despite the difficult health and epidemiological situation, meaningful political dialogue has been preserved, and important joint projects are systematically implemented in the field of energy”.

He continued, “A high level of cooperation has also been maintained in the military, technical, commercial, economic and other fields”.
