Poll: Macron’s popularity is at an all-time low with rise of the far right
After the dissolution of the National Assembly, 44% of French people are worried, 25% are surprised, 23% are hopeful, and 16% are satisfied.
French think tanks and media have kept polling on the popularity of French President Emmanuel Macron and the parties that could win the most votes in the two-round elections on June 30 and July 7 this year.
Macron’s popularity in all polls was at an all-time low, even lower than his popularity during the 2018 pension protests and yellow vest protests.
Macron’s declining popularity was evident in the BVA Xsight poll for RTL Radio, detailing which negative opinions of the French president reached 74%, compared to only 26% who were satisfied.
French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal’s popularity has eroded by 46%, down -3, yet this percentage remains much higher than Macron’s.
Regarding the decision to dissolve the National Assembly, 59% of French people believe that the head of state doesn’t act responsibly, and 54% believe that it doesn’t clarify the political situation and doesn’t stimulate democratic dialogue 53% seventy percent of Macron wants not to take part in the election.

In several other polls, Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally party has led in the results since Macron dissolved the National Assembly and called new elections.
The French Institute of Public Opinion said in an opinion poll that Le Pen’s party would secure 34% of the vote, while Macron’s Ma’an bloc would receive 22% of the vote, with the rest of the polls showed similar numbers.
