Palestinian resistance hands over 3 Israeli prisoners to the International Red Cross in central Gaza Strip

The Palestinian resistance handed over the three Israeli prisoners, Alexander Trubnov, Sagi Dekel Chen, and Yair Horn, this morning, Saturday, in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, as part of the sixth batch of the prisoner exchange process within the ceasefire agreement.

Hundreds of members of the al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and the al Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, were deployed in the square where the prisoners were released, in their military uniforms and gear.

At the prisoner handover point, the resistance displayed about 10 different weapons that it had seized from the Israeli army during the battles in Gaza.

The Qassam Brigades displayed on the platform it built a picture of the prisoner Matan Zangauker and his mother, with the phrase “Time is running out,” next to an hourglass.

The Qassam Brigades also raised pictures of a number of its martyred leaders on the prisoner handover platform, including the Chief of Staff of the Qassam Brigades, Muhammad al Deif, the Commander of the Khan Yunis Brigade, Rafeh Salama, the Deputy Intelligence Officer in the Qassam Brigades, Shadi Baroud, and the Commander of the Western Battalion of the Khan Yunis Brigade, Tayseer al Mubasher.

The Hamas spokesman pointed out that the resistance “is waiting for the occupation to begin implementing the humanitarian protocol, based on the mediators’ promises to us and their guarantees for that”.

In return, 369 Palestinian prisoners will be released from Israeli occupation prisons, Saturday, including 333 from the Gaza Strip, who were arrested by the occupation during the war, and 36 sentenced to life imprisonment, so that 111 Gazan prisoners will be released, and 12 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment, for every Israeli prisoner.

According to media, in the West Bank, 25 prisoners will be deported to the Gaza Strip.

Among the prisoners who will be released today from Israeli prisons:

  1. Ahmed Barghouti: He is the cousin of prisoner Marwan Barghouti and his close aide, and was sentenced to 13 life sentences.
  2. Mansour Shreim: He belongs to the Fatah movement, and is responsible for a series of operations in which many Israelis were killed during the Second Intifada, and he was sentenced to 14 life sentences, and another 50 years in prison.
  3. Muhammad Nayfa Abu Rabia: He is one of the leaders of the al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the Second Intifada, from Tulkarm, and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
  4. Waddah Al-Bazra: He is one of the leaders of the al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Nablus during the Second Intifada, sentenced to life imprisonment.
  5. Ahmed Abu Khader: He is one of the leaders of the al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, and he was sentenced to 11 life sentences and 50 years in prison.
