Pakistan expresses a desire to enhance cooperation with Russia in the field of energy

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his country’s desire to strengthen cooperation with Russia in the fields of energy, trade and investment.

A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Saturday said that Sharif received the Russian ambassador, Albert P. Khorev, in Islamabad.

During the meeting, Sharif expressed his condolences to the victims of the attack that occurred in Moscow on March 22, and also expressed his solidarity with Russia.

The Pakistani Prime Minister pointed out the friendly relations between the two countries, and that they wish to develop bilateral cooperation with Russia in various fields such as energy, trade and investment.

Sharif extended an invitation to Russian President Vladimir Putin to visit Pakistan.

For his part, Khorev noted that Russia also wants to strengthen relations and increase cooperation with Pakistan.
