Newsweek magazine confirmed, on Saturday, that US President Joe Biden’s approval rating has declined in a catastrophic manner due to his handling of the Israeli war on Gaza.

According to a poll conducted by the American magazine, voters expressed increasing dissatisfaction with his handling of the war on Gaza and his support for Israel.

Newsweek revealed that 3 polls conducted exclusively for the magazine showed a decline in Biden’s popularity by 9 points between October 2023 and the end of March 2024.

The Biden administration is facing a state of popular anger in the United States, as well as from Arabs, Palestinians, and Muslims in the country, because of the US President’s support for Israel in its ongoing war amid a humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.

This comes at a time when Biden is preparing to run in the presidential elections scheduled for next November 5 against his predecessor, former US President Donald Trump.

Three polls conducted exclusively for Newsweek showed that American voters’ dissatisfaction with Biden’s behavior in the crisis has increased sharply since last December.

Its worth mentioning that Axios website confirmed that after US President Joe Biden stated unequivocally that he would change his policy regarding the war on Gaza if Israel didn’t do so, he would therefore now be under pressure to follow through.

Former aides to former US President Barack Obama, Jon Favreau and Ben Rhodes, strongly criticized Biden, stressing that Biden’s policy “makes him appear weak”.

Two days ago, a number of Arab and Muslim invitees withdrew from annual Ramadan iftar party at the White House, which Biden had called for, according to what the US media reported.
