Haaretz: The war on Gaza end… The failure Netanyahu must leave… The prisoners must return
Israeli Haaretz newspaper said that the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is primarily responsible for the presence of 133 Israelis in captivity for six months.
Haaretz confirmed that Netanyahu, through his failed policies for a long time, allowed their capture in the first place, and through his inaction since October 7 was the reason for their remaining in captivity, considering that all of this confirms the urgent need, and existentialism to replace it.
“Netanyahu only understands the language of political power, it emphasized that those who exercise political power over him today are the only right-wing extremists, who are pressuring to continue the war even at the expense of the lives of the prisoners, while the Israeli public must stand alongside the families of the prisoners in order to form a political counterweight,” Haaretz said.
Haaretz called on the Israeli public to join the families of the prisoners in demanding their return, and to explain to the government that it does not have a mandate to apply the “Code Hannibal” to 133 prisoners in order to continue the war.
Haaretz newspaper concluded by recalling that six months have passed since that terrible day in the life of Israel, and its situation has worsened since then, stressing, “The war must end, the prisoners must return, and Netanyahu must leave; It is a matter of life or death”.
It should be noted that the “Code Hannibal” is a certain procedure order in the Israeli army that specifies the rules for immediate action in the event that soldiers are captured.
It’s summed up in preventing the capture process at all costs even if this leads to endangering the lives of the captured soldiers.
It aims to spare Israel from entering into Exchange negotiations in which you are forced to make major concessions.
