Netanyahu: Israel is suffering losses in Gaza and military pressure is the way to free the hostages!
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged, early Wednesday morning, Israel’s losses as a result of the battles with Palestinian fighters in the Gaza Strip, describing them as a “heavy price”.
This came during his second meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, according to a post by Netanyahu on X, in which he said, “I had another meeting with President Trump at the White House, and then a short meeting with Vice President Vance”.
Netanyahu arrived in the United States on Sunday and met with Trump for the first-time early Tuesday morning.
He is scheduled to leave Washington on Thursday.
Netanyahu said, “We’ve focused our efforts on freeing our hostages and we won’t relent for a moment… This is possible thanks to the military pressure exerted by our soldiers”.
On Friday evening, Hamas said it had submitted its response to the ceasefire proposal to the mediators after completing internal consultations with Palestinian factions and forces.
Hamas described the response to the proposal as positive, and affirmed serious readiness to immediately enter into a round of negotiations on the mechanism for implementing the proposal, while Netanyahu stalls and continues the genocide in Gaza.
Acknowledging the Israeli army’s losses in Gaza, Netanyahu said, “This effort is costing us dearly in the loss of our best sons (officers and soldiers),” as he put it.
Nevertheless, he added, “We’re determined to achieve all our goals: releasing all our hostages, eliminating Hamas’s military and governmental capabilities, and ensuring that Gaza no longer poses a threat to Israel”.
On Monday night, the Israeli army said in a statement that “five soldiers from the Netzah Yehuda Battalion of the Kfir Brigade were killed in northern Gaza Strip on Monday evening, and 14 others were injured, including two seriously”.
Almost daily, the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announces the execution of selective operations against the Israeli army in Gaza, killing and wounding its ranks.
Meanwhile, Israel conceals its losses and imposes strict censorship on publication.
Netanyahu also discussed with Trump what he called the implications and possibilities of the great victory we achieved over Iran.
