Moscow announces the end of partial mobilization

The Military Commissioner of the Russian capital, Moscow, Maxim Lokteev, said that Moscow had achieved its goals from the partial mobilization decree issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin, and accordingly, no more men would be summoned, according to Russian news agencies.

Lokteev didn’t say exactly how many men had been called up in Moscow since September 21, but he did note that volunteers could still serve in the army.

For his part, the Mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, said that Moscow had accomplished its mission and that the summonses that still reached citizens’ homes or workplaces, they no longer had to implement.

The Moscow Administrative Region around the capital also announced the end of the partial mobilization procedures.
