Minor earthquake hit Hama in Syria

Dozens of people were injured as a result of the earthquake that struck the Syrian City of Hama.

According to Syrian official sources, 25 people suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate, due to the state of panic and fear that prompted them to try to escape after the earthquake.

According to the Syrian National Earthquake Center, four aftershocks were recorded after the main earthquake that occurred on Monday Night, at 23:55, and their details were as follows:

An earthquake at 00:02 (local time) with its epicenter 62 km east of Hama with a magnitude of 3.9 on the Richter scale, and another one at 00:08 with its epicenter 23 km east of Hama with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale.

A third earthquake at 00:28 with its epicenter 43 km east of Hama with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale, and fourth earthquake at 00:35 with its epicenter 18 km east of Hama with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale.

It’s worth mentioning that the main earthquake measured 5.5 on the Richter scale, and its epicenter was 23 kilometers east of the city of Hama.
