The Permanent Strategic Framework for the Defense of the Azawadi People has provided a new toll on the three-day battles between its forces and Malian forces, backed by Vagner fighters, in the Tinzaouaten region near the border with Algeria.

A statement issued on Thursday by the strategic framework said that its armed staff counted 84 Wagner elements killed, and 47 killed from the Malian armed forces.

The statement added that “more than 30 dead and seriously injured people were also flown to Kidal in the ranks of the Malian army and Wagner elements, and spoke of the presence of a large number of charred bodies inside the armored vehicles”.

The statement also spoke of the presence of 7 prisoners in the strategic framework, the 6 armored vehicles were destroyed, and 6 troop transport vehicles also destroyed during the fighting, and a helicopter was crashed during the fighting in Kidal.

According to the statement, the Azawad forces seized 5 armored vehicles, 5 pick-up trucks, including an ambulance, a tanker, and a truck transporting soldiers in good condition.

According to the tally provided by the Joint Staff of the Strategic Framework, 28 collective heavy weapons, 137 individual weapons, 15 RPGs, 8 Russian grenade launchers and a large quantity of ammunition were also obtained, as well as a military communications kit and media containing useful intelligence.

As part of its new tally, the strategic framework reported that 9 of its fighters were killed, 12 others were wounded, in addition to the destruction of 3 vehicles.

The Strategic Framework condemned the bombing of a gold mining site staffed by displaced civilians in Tinzaouaten by Burkina Faso drones, killing more than 50 people from Niger, Sudan and Chad, in retaliation for the defeat of the Malian and Wagner army.

The strategic framework warned Burkina Faso’s ruling military council against intervening in a conflict that doesn’t concern it and is far from its borders, adding that it will bear the full consequences.

The strategic framework called on the Malian people to rise up to get rid of the military council that makes deals with demons to stay in power, inevitably leading the country towards the unknown abyss.
