“Europe has completely lost its independence, regardless of what French President Emmanuel Macron might say about strategic autonomy, or the declaration of EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, in an interview with a Russian TV channel.

The need for the European Union to be more active in the Indo-Pacific region, and ceded all its positions to NATO.

Lavrov went on to say that “the Europeans are clearly the party most affected by the developments in Ukraine except for the Ukrainian people themselves,” saying that this is due to the “exhaustion” of the continent’s budget over the hidden position they are “forced to take” by providing weapons and money to Ukraine.

Lavrov added, “The West tried to force the Global South to join the sanctions imposed on Russia, but the determination of these countries to build their own policies based on national interests, the needs of their economies, and their social goals hindered the implementation of this”.

The Russian Foreign minister indicated that “the United States will decide when and how to use Europe to its advantage”.

On Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the crisis in Ukraine may end with the United States abandoning the current leadership of Kiev when it is no longer needed.

“The United States has abandoned the Afghan leadership, on which they relied during the twenty-year occupation of this country,” Lavrov said.
