American media, citing specialized research centers, announced the victory of Democratic Party candidate, Joe Biden, in the presidential elections, to be the new US president.

Biden has so far obtained 290 votes out of 270 votes from the electoral college to become the 46th president of the United States of America.

According to CNN, which confirmed Biden’s victory over his rival, Republican Party candidate Donald Trump, Biden will become the 46th US president, who will turn 78 years old at the end of this month, as the president is the oldest in the country’s history, when it is installed next January.

Biden comes at a circumstance in which the country is witnessing the worst public health crisis in 100 years, and the deepest economic recession since the 1930s, in addition to a social crisis plaguing the American interior due to racism and cases of violence applied by the police, which have not yet been resolved.

Biden’s winning the election will end the “tumultuous” period that America has witnessed, who is considered the first president to lose after only one term.

The state of Pennsylvania was the one that gave Biden the victory and put him on the threshold of victory after he got 270 electoral votes that entered the White House.

The electoral vote counting process continued, and after hundreds of thousands of ballot papers were registered via mail, the election race had shifted significantly in Biden’s favor, which angered Trump and his allies.
