Israeli officers continue to be killed in battles in Gaza and Lebanon… Deputy commander of an Israeli battalion killed with 20 soldiers injured
The Israeli army announced on Tuesday evening the death of the deputy commander of Battalion 9308 in a battle in southern Lebanon, becoming the second Israeli soldier to be announced dead on the northern front.
The Israeli army said in a statement on X, “Reserve Major Aviram Hariv, (42), from Dolev (a settlement in the middle of the occupied West Bank), deputy commander of Battalion 9308 of the Alon Brigade, was killed in battle in southern Lebanon”.
Shortly before that, the Binyamin settlement council in the central West Bank announced that Hariv had been killed in Lebanon, noting that he was a rabbi from the Dolev settlement west of Ramallah.
Reserve Major Hariv is the third Israeli soldier whose death was announced on Tuesday, and the second in southern Lebanon, while 20 soldiers were injured, including 3 seriously, in battles in southern Lebanon.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli army announced the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of three others seriously during battles in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army also confirmed the death of one of its soldiers from the Nahal Brigade in an “operational incident” near the Gaza Strip border.
Thus, the announced death toll of the Israeli army since the beginning of the war of extermination on Gaza on October 7, 2023, has reached 752 officers and soldiers, including 356 since the beginning of the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip on the 27th of the same month, according to the latest update published by the IDF official website.
The total number of wounded officers and soldiers reached 5,043, including 2,362 since the ground invasion of the Gaza Strip.
According to observers, Israel is concealing the human and material losses resulting from the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip and its aggression on Lebanon, and is preventing filming and the circulation of photos and video clips, and is warning against providing any information to the media in this regard, except through media outlets subject to its strict supervision.
After clashes with Hezbollah, which began after Israel launched a genocide against the Gaza Strip, Tel Aviv expanded the scope of the genocide since September 23 to include most of Lebanon’s regions, including the capital Beirut, through air strikes, and also began a ground invasion in the south.
