The Israeli Channel 12 said that the Israeli army won’t remain for the entire 60 days planned until the complete withdrawal from southern Lebanon, and there is a readiness for an earlier withdrawal in order not to drown in the Lebanese quagmire.

The deputy commander of the northern Nahal Brigade and a colonel in the Israeli army’s reserves, Yakir Segev, acknowledged that Hezbollah will return and the infrastructure will be rebuilt, despite everything happened.

Regarding the losses incurred by the IDF as a result of Hezbollah’s operations, the political affairs analyst at Israeli Channel 12, Amnon Abramovich, confirmed that about 240,000 dunams were burned in the Galilee, and this area is 4 times the area of Tel Aviv.

Regarding the return of settlers to the north, who believe that the ceasefire agreement and the government didn’t provide them with safety, Channel 12 indicated that the plan to return them begins on February 1, 2025.

The Israeli government put the settlers in front of two options: either an immediate return with a grant of 60,000 shekels on average, or this grant would be reduced by 20% if they didn’t return immediately, which suggests pressure on the settlers to return to the settlements that formed a front line with Lebanon.

Channel 12 reported the extent of the damage in the northern settlements, where there are more than 4,000 settlement units that were completely destroyed during the war, and more than 500 settlement units that need major renovation, in addition to other units that need renovation.
