Israeli media: Israel intends to set up 10,000 tents near Rafah during the next two weeks to evacuate the displaced and in preparation for the start of the ground invasion
Israeli media revealed, on Monday evening, that Israel intends to set up 10,000 tents near the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, within two weeks, in preparation for its army to invade the city by land.
The Israeli Kann channel said that an official document it obtained indicated that “Israel will set up 10,000 tents outside Rafah during the next two weeks”.
The Israeli channel added, “There are 30,000 additional tents currently under purchase, and they will be installed in the area later”.
The channel continued, “Based on the timetable for erecting these tents, it can be said that the road to evacuating residents from Rafah is still long”.
Israel insists on invading Rafah, claiming that it’s “the last stronghold of Hamas,” despite increasing international warnings of catastrophic repercussions, in light of the presence of about 1.4 million displaced people there.
During the war, Israel forced most of the Palestinians in the northern and central Gaza Strip to flee to the city of Rafah, bordering Egypt.
