Israeli experts: The press conference of the released hostage is a disaster for Israel!
Israeli experts described the released hostage’s press conference as a “disaster” for the State of Israel and a gain for Hamas, and criticized the decision to hold her press conference, noting that international media reported her statements about good treatment by Hamas.
Israeli public broadcaster, Kan, quoted Israeli public relations experts as describing the decision to put Yocheved Lifshitz in front of the cameras as a “mistake” noting that international media are now talking about Hamas kindness in taking care of the hostages and their needs.
Israel Hayom newspaper, published an article by Eddie Rothstein who described the press conference as a propaganda victory for Hamas.
“What a brave and enlightened woman,” he wrote, “the kind we thought they no longer make in Israel, and what a clumsy handling of the event… The truth is, you don’t need to be a PR expert to know that you can’t hold a press conference like this live on national TV!”
Channel 12, also described what the Israeli released hostage described about Hamas members treatment of her is still very shocking, adding, “Any reasonable person should understand that the medical care she received was intended to keep bargaining chips alive and not to the goodness of their hearts!”
Dana Weiss, the channel 12 correspondent, described the press conference as a “disaster!”
Yocheved Lifshitz, the elderly Israeli who was released by Hamas Monday night, said in the press conference after undergoing examinations in a hospital in Tel Aviv that the Hamas militants had provided her with protection and a doctor to treat her, and provided her with the medicine she was receiving in Israel.
Yocheved Lifshitz, 85 years old, was one of two women released by Hamas, Monday, bringing the number of people still detained by the movement to 220.
She stated that a doctor visited her and confirmed that she and the rest of the detainees were receiving the same type of medication that they were receiving in Israel.
In a different context, Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said that Hamas is on its way to achieving victory, while Israel is still torn, conflicted and divided.
Yedioth Ahronoth said in an article by Avi Issacharoff, that after 17 days of the attack on the Gaza Strip, the truth must be told, which will be difficult for the Israeli ear to hear… Hamas is on the way to achieving victory, and what is meant isn’t only the events of October 7, ( 1,400 dead, and more than 220 prisoners”.
Issacharoff added, “Indeed, the point that Israel has reached is torn, conflicted, and divided”.
