Israeli Defense Minister threatens to launch a new war on Iran to prevent the restoration of its nuclear and missile projects and vows to resolve the Gaza and Yemeni fronts by force
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz spoke on Tuesday about the possibility of Israel launching a new war against Iran, stressing the need to prevent the resumption of its nuclear and missile projects.
Katz’s remarks came during a situation assessment, attended by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and senior military commanders.
“There is a possibility of renewing the war against Iran,” Katz said.
Katz stressed the need to maintain what he called the achievements and air superiority achieved in the war against Iran.
He continued, “Its necessary, in the wake of Operation ‘Rising Lion’ (the name of the recent Israeli war on Iran), to formulate a plan to ensure that Iran doesn’t return to its nuclear and missile projects”.
Katz said, “There are two open fronts: the Gaza Strip and Yemen, and Israel must decisively resolve them, as part of a resolute offensive policy, as happened in Iran, Lebanon, and Syria”.
He said, “We’re the closest to achieving the war’s goals,” adding, “Israel’s presence at observation points and security zones in various sectors, including Syria and Lebanon, is essential to Israeli national security, and the army must prepare accordingly”.
