Israeli Defense Minister threatening the Syrian President: Israeli fighter jets will fly over Syria if necessary

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz sent a letter to Syrian transitional President Ahmad al Sharaa, describing him as the “leader of an extremist Islamic group,” warning him that “Israeli fighter jets would continue to fly over Syrian territory to strike terrorist targets when necessary”.
Katz’s remarks came after Israeli aircraft launched an attack on Thursday on the Dummar Project area in Damascus, targeting a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement.
Katz, confirming Israel’s responsibility for the attack, said, “Wherever terrorist activity is organized against Israel, you will find Israeli aircraft in the sky, ready to strike terrorist targets”.
According to sources in the Syrian capital, two missiles struck several buildings in Dummar Project area in Damascus, as the shelling was accompanied by loud explosions in the area.
Photos and videos posted on social media showed smoke rising from the targeted building, located in the upscale Dummar Project area.
Israeli media reported that the target of the attack was a leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement based in Syria.
