Israeli Broadcasting Authority: The Israeli army will deploy all its regular forces as part of the planned plan to occupy the entire Gaza Strip
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said on Sunday that the Israeli army will deploy all its regular forces to Gaza as part of a planned plan to occupy the entire Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation explained that “the Israeli army is working on developing a plan to occupy Gaza City, and needs a week to formulate the broad outlines”.
It stated that “the military plans for the operation to occupy Gaza City aren’t yet clear, including the routes of the incursion and whether the occupation will take place all at once or in stages”.
The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation added: “The Israeli army believes it will deploy all regular forces to Gaza, while the other fronts will be assigned to reserve forces”.
On Friday, the Israeli security cabinet approved a plan that would begin with the occupation of Gaza City, displacing its population of approximately one million to the south, then encircling the city and carrying out incursions into residential areas.
This will be followed by a second phase, which includes the occupation of refugee camps in central Gaza, large parts of which have been destroyed by Israel, as part of an ongoing war with US support since October 7, 2023.
The opposition and the families of Israeli hostages in Gaza accuse Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of wanting to prolong the war in order to ensure the survival of his government and preserve his political future.
