Amid the recent tensions between Iran and Western countries, following the failure of negotiations on the nuclear issue and the re-imposition of UN sanctions, as well as mutual threats with Israel, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ naval forces, Brigadier General Alireza Tangsiri, stated that the West’s problem with his country isn’t nuclear or weapons, but rather scientific progress.

He said in statements on Friday evening: “They know that Iran isn’t seeking to possess a nuclear bomb, but their problem is our scientific progress, not our weapons”.

He also stated that Iran has now reached a stage where it can export missiles, drones, boats, and the flag.

These statements came as several Iranian officials have repeatedly warned against any new adventure launched by Israel or the United States, similar to the attacks that occurred during the 12-day war last June.

It also came after Tehran repeatedly confirmed, through Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, that his country had submitted several proposals to the European Troika (France, Germany, and Britain) to resolve the nuclear issue and prevent the activation of the snapback process.

However, they were rejected, and he considered the activation of the trigger mechanism to be aimed at pushing Tehran to make concessions that he described as unreasonable and impossible.

It’s worth noting that high-level meetings intensified last month on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in an effort to reach a settlement on UN sanctions and conclude a new agreement, but to no avail.
