Iranian hackers infiltrate Israeli companies dedicated to protecting classified information, and the Hebrew media publishes details of the attack
Israeli media said that “the hacker group” Pay2Key “claims that it has succeeded in penetrating Portnox again, which provides information protection services to various companies in Israel.
Pay2Key has been attributed to attacks on Israeli companies, including Air Industries and Habana Labs, a subsidiary of Intel Israel.
According to the Israeli media, the hackers have published on a special website in the Darknet many files and a list of customers and passwords belonging to “Portnox” and large Israeli companies, including “Elbit”, “Amadox”, “Clalit” HMO and “SuperPharm”.
For its part, the company “CheckPoint” issued an investigation that tracks the methods of work of the “Pay2Key” group and said that “additional companies fell victim to the group’s attacks and in order to prevent the leakage of sensitive information that paid a ransom to the group”.
And “CheckPoint” found an existing link between “Pay2Key” and Iranian destinations, according to Israeli media.
On December 20, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper website said that an Iranian “cyber” group called “Pay2key” had published a statement saying that it had infiltrated the computers of the IAI-affiliated company, Alta.
And Israeli media reported last week that there were cyber-attacks targeting at least 40 Israeli supply companies.
It is noteworthy that in the previous May, the Israeli government spoke of being subjected to a “cyber” attack, describing it as a “threat to the infrastructure of Tel Aviv,” accusing Iran of standing behind it.
