On Saturday, Israeli media revealed that a group of hackers had infiltrated a major Israeli Internet company, causing a state of “complete paralysis”.

According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the Black Shadow hacker group, believed to be Iranian, hacked the accounts of the Israeli company Cyber Service.

And “Cyber Service” is a web hosting company that has been operating since 1997, and it supplies vital Israeli companies, whose hack led to the disruption of access to the sites on its servers.

According to the same newspaper, “Black Shadow” published information about customers of “Cyber Service”, including the public transportation company “Dan”, the tour operator “Pegasus”, the blog of the public broadcaster “Cannes” and others.

The Black Shadow Group is also responsible for the attacks on Israeli companies last year, most notably Sherbet Insurance and KLS Auto Finance.

On Tuesday, Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that the “Moses Stick” hacker group, also believed to be Iranian, published accurate details including the names, addresses, ranks and units of hundreds of Israeli soldiers and officers.

Simultaneously, the Iranian authorities announced the occurrence of a cyber-attack that hit the gas station systems in the local markets, which disrupted the information available on the sales of subsidized fuel to consumers, which threatens to escalate the severity of the electronic exchange between Iran and Israel.

Recently, the Manufacturers Association (responsible for more than 95% of industrial production in Israel) announced that hundreds of Israeli companies paid hackers more than $1 billion in ransom in 2020.
