Iran has informed Qatar and Oman, which are acting as mediators, that it “won’t negotiate while the Israeli attack is underway”.

The source, who requested anonymity, said, “The Iranians informed the Qatari and Omani mediators that they would not engage in serious negotiations until Iran completed its response to the Israeli strikes, making it clear that they would not negotiate while the Israeli attack was underway”.

The Iranian Ministry of Health announced on Sunday that the Israeli attacks, which began on Friday, have resulted in the deaths of at least 224 people and the injury of more than a thousand others.

“Sixty-five hours after the start of the Zionist regime’s aggression… 224 women, men, and children have been martyred,” Iranian Ministry of Health spokesman Hossein Kermanpour said via X, adding that more than 90% of the victims were civilians.

For the third day, Arab-international contacts and consultations continued on Sunday in an effort to halt Israeli aggression against Iran and de-escalate tensions in the region.

This came in official statements issued on Sunday by Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, Iraq, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan.
