Iran announces the launch of a train line between Tehran and Ankara

The Iranian-Turkish relations getting more push in multiple aspects.

The Iranian Railway Company has launched a train line between Tehran and the Turkish capital Ankara as part of an official ceremony attended by Iranian government personnel and the Turkish Ambassador in Tehran.

According to the Iranian “Fars” news agency on Thursday, the train departed from Tehran Station on Wednesday at 2150 local time (1720 GMT), according to the schedule will be one trip a week, while the journey from Tehran to Ankara 60 hours.

According to the Iranian agency, the train stops at the Iranian-Turkish border point (Razi-Kabi Koy), where passengers take a ferry to cross Lake “Van”, and then continue the journey via a Turkish train to Ankara.
