Iran and Syria are heading to activate the barter trade between them
Vice President of the Joint Syrian-Iranian Chamber of Commerce Fahd Darwish said in an interview with local Syrian newspaper that the chamber is discussing with the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, Jawad Turk Abadi, and the Minister of Internal Trade Talal al Barazi and the economy, Samer Khalil, proposals to implement trade by barter between the two countries, and that it includes goods prohibited from import and export As well as activating the Chamber’s role regarding the authentication of papers and documents that are exchanged between the two countries.
He pointed out that there is interest in these proposals from the ministers of internal trade and economy and the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, noting that the chamber’s members will meet with the Minister of Economy to discuss these proposals this week.
He pointed out that a meeting was held with the Minister of Internal Trade recently, where he welcomed the proposals, indicating that the two ministers will study the proposals from legal aspects in accordance with the laws and regulations in force regarding import and export, and will present their proposals in this regard.
