Israeli media said that Hezbollah wants the full implementation of Resolution “1701”, stressing that it’s not prepared to introduce any clause related to Israel’s freedom of action or even the freedom of the Israeli Air Force to operate in Lebanese airspace or regarding Israeli-American supervision regarding villages in southern Lebanon.

Israeli Channel 12 stressed that Hezbollah isn’t ready for anything gradual in this context, but rather wants to implement the order immediately and return to Resolution 1701 without any amendments.

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon’s adherence to the full implementation of Resolution 1701, in the interests of Lebanon, intersects with the official Lebanese positions.

Last month that Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri advised US envoy Amos Hochstein during his visit to Beirut a few weeks ago to come up with a clear Israeli position on Resolution 1701 without amendment.

In this context, the caretaker Prime Minister of Lebanon, Najib Mikati, confirmed more than once Lebanon’s commitment to Resolution 1701 literally and as it was approved, without any additions or interpretations.

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal, indicated that Israeli security officials fear that expanding military operations in Lebanon will lead to a war of attrition.

These officials considered the Israeli ground operation in Lebanon, to pressure Hezbollah regarding the settlement, to be fraught with risks.

Two days ago, Major General (res.) Israel Ziv, former commander of the Operations Division, admitted that Hezbollah is recovering.

Therefore, the terms of the political agreement from Israel’s perspective are declining, and what it was able to achieve yesterday it won’t be able to achieve today or tomorrow.

He admitted that unless Hezbollah is given a concession and a certain achievement, it won’t be interested in a settlement, and there will be no one left to talk to.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth confirmed that Hezbollah has enough missiles to send millions of Israeli settlers to shelters every day, stressing that this constitutes an achievement that exhausts the Israeli will and will lead to a reduction in Israel’s demands in the negotiations.
