Hezbollah: A commander killed during confrontations with the Israeli army
On Monday, the Lebanese Hezbollah announced the martyrdom of one of its members in border clashes with the Israeli army in southern Lebanon, bringing the death toll to 167 since last October 8.
In a brief statement, Hezbollah mourned Haider Hussein Ibrahim from the town of al Adisa in southern Lebanon, “who rose as a martyr on the road to Jerusalem”.
Earlier Monday, Hezbollah announced the martyrdom of two of its members in confrontations with the Israeli army on the southern Lebanese border.
The intensity of the clashes comes in light of the escalation of tension between the two parties, as Israeli War Council Minister Benny Gantz said earlier Monday that the need for a large-scale operation deep inside Lebanon is approaching.
In the wake of a devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip since last October 7, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed, since last October 8, tension and intermittent exchange of fire between the Israeli army on the one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand, which led to dozens of deaths and injuries on the border. According to the Israeli army, Hezbollah attacks caused the deaths of 6 Israeli civilians and 10 soldiers.
