Hezbollah announced on Saturday evening that more than 25 officers and soldiers from the Israeli elite had been killed and more than 130 others wounded since the start of its ground invasion of southern Lebanon in early October.

This came in a statement posted on Hezbollah Telegram channel, in which Hezbollah reviewed the results of its military confrontations with the Israeli forces that penetrated villages in southern Lebanon, during the past 24 hours.

Hezbollah said in its statement that it had counted “during the past few days, since the Israeli enemy army announced the start of its ground operation towards villages in southern Lebanon, the killing of more than 25 officers and soldiers in the ranks of the enemy’s elite, and the wounding of more than 130”.

The statement added, “The enemy has acknowledged some of these numbers, and the coming days will reveal what he has hidden from his audience”.

In addition, Hezbollah announced on Saturday night that its forces had repelled an Israeli infiltration attempt into Lebanese territory, as part of the ongoing ground confrontations between the two parties since last week.

Hezbollah said in a statement that its fighters “targeted with artillery shells… an attempt by a force of Israeli enemy soldiers to infiltrate towards Khallet Shuaib in Blida,” noting that they were forced to retreat and inflicted confirmed casualties.

Hezbollah also announced that it continues to target gatherings of soldiers in northern Israel.

In addition, the Israeli air force launched five raids on southern Beirut, including four very violent raids on the southern suburb, the main stronghold of Hezbollah, according to official media, shortly after the Israeli army warned to evacuate buildings in the area.
