Hamas said it doesn’t mind discussing a long-term truce that extends for 10 years
Hamas has shown a tangible inclination towards being prepared to discuss a long-term truce for several years in the Gaza Strip if the US administration is willing to support this path.
Specialized Egyptian sources reported that a long-term truce that could extend for several years has become one of the options being discussed in whispers until now.
A long-term truce of 5 or even 10 years is actually a proposal from Hamas, not from the Americans or the Egyptian and Qatari mediators.
It seems that a message from the movement’s leaders through the Qatari mediator in this regard was picked up by American sensors early, weeks ago.
