Hamas: Netanyahu is obstructing the exchange deal and trying to kill the prisoners
Hamas said on Monday evening that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is looking for an imaginary victory that he hasn’t succeeded in marketing to his audience after 11 months of his Nazi war in the Gaza Strip.
This came in statements by Hamas Political Bureau member Izzat al Rishq, on Telegram, following a press conference by Netanyahu in which he held Hamas responsible for the killing of 6 Israeli prisoners in Gaza, whose bodies the army announced had been recovered from a tunnel in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip on Sunday.
Rashq said, “The criminal Netanyahu bears responsibility for the lives and safety of the prisoners held by the resistance, and despite the movement’s concern for their safety and good treatment, he continues to insist on killing them and ignoring their conditions”.
He added, “Netanyahu’s statements are the speech of a desperate person who is looking for an imaginary victory that he hasn’t succeeded in marketing to his audience after eleven months of his Nazi war against our people in the Gaza Strip”.
He pointed out that Netanyahu confirms with his statements today that he is the one obstructing the exchange deal and the ceasefire agreement.
In his press conference on Monday, Netanyahu said that achieving the goals of the war in Gaza passes through the Philadelphi corridor on the border between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, stressing that Tel Aviv won’t withdraw from it at all.
Israeli officials and family members of prisoners held in Gaza say Netanyahu’s insistence on the Philadelphi corridor is “delaying an agreement”.
