Hamas informs mediators that it is ready to conclude an agreement with Israel to cease fire in the Gaza Strip and a serious prisoner exchange deal
A leading source in Hamas confirmed on Wednesday that it’s ready to conclude an agreement with Israel regarding a truce in the Gaza Strip, after the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon came into effect.
The Hamas leader, who asked not to be named, told Agence France-Presse that the ceasefire in Lebanon is a victory and a great achievement for the resistance.
He stressed that the movement informed “the mediators in Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye that Hamas is ready for a ceasefire agreement and a serious prisoner exchange deal, if the occupation commits, but the occupation is obstructing and evading reaching an agreement and continuing the war of extermination”.
