Haaretz: Netanyahu vs the IDF!
Haaretz criticized the recent attack on IDF commanders, especially from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s wife Sara, and his son Yair.
The Israeli newspaper considered that the aim of these criticisms is to hold military commanders alone responsible for failing to repel the attack of Hamas on Israel on the seventh of last October, and to enable Netanyahu to evade responsibility and deny any guilt.
According to Haaretz, Netanyahu’s wife, Sara’s accusation that the army chiefs are seeking to overthrow her husband is part of the statements, insinuations, insults, accusations, lies and defamation broadcast to the public as part of an incitement campaign against army commanders using Netanyahu’s poison machine.
Sara Netanyahu made the accusations against the army commanders during a meeting last week with some families of Israeli prisoners in Gaza.
Sara wasn’t the only member of Netanyahu’s family to indict the army chiefs, as her son Yair, preceded her.
On June 17, Yair accused the IDF and the Shin Bet security service of treason in the face of Hamas attacks in the Gaza Strip on October 7.
Haaretz noted that a response issued on behalf of the Israeli prime minister’s wife stated that the scourge of false, tendentious and persistent leaks about Sara Netanyahu is a heinous injustice.
Commenting on this statement, Haaretz described all this denial and denial as useless, and that it is a familiar method of distortion and then deletion or negation.
Haaretz said incitement against the IDF and its commanders was systematic and that Netanyahu’s pressure to weaken the military was also aimed at preventing it from increasing its forces by insisting that a law preventing ultra-Orthodox Jews from being recruited remained in force.
In addition, Netanyahu and his government are seizing every opportunity to incite war, not only in Gaza but also against Lebanese Hezbollah, while at the same time attacking and weakening the Palestinian Authority and provoking the United States, Israel’s main ally.
Haaretz concluded its editorial by stressing the need to hold general elections as soon as possible, so that we can free ourselves from Netanyahu’s dangerous grip.
