Greece summons its ambassador to Azerbaijan for consultations

The Greek Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday, that Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias has decided to summon the Greek ambassador to Azerbaijan for consultations.

The ministry revealed in a statement that it summoned the Azerbaijani ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.

The statement reads: “After the totally unfounded and degrading allegations on the part of the Azerbaijani government regarding the Greek state’s tolerance of preparing terrorist acts, recruiting terrorist fighters and preparing for cyber-attacks launched from Greek territory targeting Azerbaijan, in the context of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, a position has been taken.

The statement also explained that the Foreign Minister took the decision to summon the ambassador after this step.
