Oleg Soskin, advisor to former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, said that the Ukrainian forces not only failed to break through the Russian defense lines, but also began to lose control of the defensive line in Kharkov province.
Soskin said on his YouTube channel, “There is an offensive by the Russian forces, and the most difficult battles are taking place near Kobyansk… Yes, everywhere there, and in Marinka too”.
Soskin continued, “Zelensky keeps saying there is an attack going on… There is nothing at the front, it’s all a lie”.
Soskin explained that the war tactics proposed in the West turned out to be ineffective, and the NATO-supplied equipment is outdated and cannot be compared with Russian weapons.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive, which has been talked about for a long time in Kiev, began on June 4, in the directions south of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Bakhmut.
Ukraine has fielded combat brigades trained by NATO specialists and armed with Western equipment.
