The Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on Tuesday that Russia is preparing plans to hold a summit between Russia and Arab countries this year.

The Russian president said in press statements prior to his meeting with Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said that Russia had relayed information via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding plans to hold a summit between Russia and Arab countries this year.

The Russian President affirmed the support of many of Russia’s friends in the Arab world for this idea.

Worth noting that, the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, arrived in Russia on Tuesday, where he was received by Putin in the Georgievsky Hall of the Grand Palace in the Kremlin.

Vladimir Putin extended an invitation to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman to participate in the Russian-Arab summit scheduled to be held this year.
