Commenting on the New Orleans attack… Trump: America has become the laughingstock of the world
US President-elect Donald Trump said that the United States has become a laughingstock to the whole world, and attributed the recent attacks in the country to the border problem and weak leadership.
This came in a post on Truth Social platform, on Wednesday, in which he addressed the run-over incident that occurred in the US city of New Orleans, on Wednesday, which led to the death of 15 people.
In his post, Trump accused Democrats and those in charge of running the country of “not doing their jobs”.
“Our country is a disaster, a laughingstock all over the world,” he continued… This is what happens when you have open borders and ineffective, almost non-existent leadership”.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation announced that the perpetrator of the attack in New Orleans, Louisiana is an American citizen from Texas named Shamsuddin Jabbar, (42).
The office said in a statement that Jabbar carried out the attack in a rented small truck, and that the flag of ISIS was found in the car.
Later, FBI Assistant Special Agent Alethea Duncan said in press statements that Jabbar had previously served in the US Army and left it with an honorable discharge.
For his part, outgoing US President Joe Biden condemned the car attack in New Orleans, describing it as a despicable attack.
This came in his speech to reporters at the White House, on Wednesday.
Baden noted that the FBI is investigating the incident, and that no conclusions should be drawn before the investigation is complete.
He described the attack as despicable and expressed his sympathy for the relatives of those who lost their lives.
He pointed out that the FBI informed him that the attacker, hours before carrying out the attack, had posted videos on social media showing his influence by ISIS.
He pointed out that an ISIS flag was found inside the attacker’s car.
On the other hand, Biden referred to the car explosion in front of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, USA, on Wednesday.
He said an investigation was underway into whether the Las Vegas explosion had a possible connection to the New Orleans attack.
A Tesla car exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, and authorities reported that one person was killed and seven others were injured.
For his part, Elon Musk, owner of Tesla, said via X on Thursday that there may be a link between the two incidents.
Musk noted that the car used in the New Orleans attack and the Tesla that caught fire in front of the Trump Hotel were both rented from the same place.
