Civilian casualties in violent Israeli raids on the Beka’a Valley in eastern Lebanon while Hezbollah bombs 4 Israeli bases and 14 settlements

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Monday that 4 people were killed and 3 others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Mashghara in the western Bekaa district in the eastern Beka’a Governorate.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health wrote on X that its Public Health Emergency Operations Center issued a statement announcing that “the Israeli enemy’s raid on Mashghara this morning led to the martyrdom of 4 people and the injury of 3 others”.

On the other hand, Hezbollah announced on Sunday that it had attacked 4 military bases and 14 settlements in northern Israel, as part of 28 attacks it had carried out since the beginning of the day.

In a series of statements on Telegram, Hezbollah said, “For the first time, we bombed the Haifa Technical Base which belongs to the Israeli Air Force and contains a training college for preparing Air Force technicians in the occupied city of Haifa with a batch of qualitative missiles”.

Hezbollah fighters launched a squadron of drones at the Elyakim base which contains training camps affiliated with the Northern Command south of Haifa and hit their targets accurately.

Hezbollah bombed the Beit Lid base, which is affiliated with the Central Command which contains training camps for the Nahal Brigade and the Paratroopers Brigade east of the city of Netanya, with a barrage of rockets, and hit its targets accurately, according to a statement.

They targeted with three missiles the Zevulon military industries base north of Haifa, a gathering of Israeli forces at the Israeli al Baghdadi military site, and a gathering at the newly established headquarters of the Western Brigade command in the Yaara barracks.

Hezbollah also fired a guided missile at a command room in the settlement of Matala, and it accurately hit its target, killing and wounding those inside.

Hezbollah also said that its fighters targeted a Merkava tank at the gate of Matula, with a guided missile, which led to it burning and its crew being killed and wounded.

Hezbollah also fired rockets at gatherings of soldiers in the Khallet al Bardoshe area near the Manara settlement and the settlements of Sa’ar, Metulla (twice), Shlomi (twice), Rosh Hanikra, Kedem Zvi, Shamir, Baram, Metsova, Even, Shomera and Zer’it.

They also bombed the settlements of Netova Nimra and Katzrin with two rounds of rockets.

Hezbollah fighters targeted Israeli forces on the eastern outskirts of the town of Mays al Jabal in southern Lebanon three times with barrages of missiles.

From his part, the Israeli army also announced on Monday that it had assassinated a senior Hezbollah leader who it said was supervising the firing of rockets and anti-tank missiles at Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army said that the Hezbollah leader in the Barashi area in southern Lebanon, Abu Ali Reda, was killed in an airstrike without specifying the date.

According to the Israeli army statement, Abu Ali Reda was responsible for planning and executing rocket attacks and firing anti-tank missiles at IDF forces, and also supervised the activities of Hezbollah elements in the area.

On Monday, Tel Aviv announced the interception of 4 drones launched from Lebanon and the east towards the occupied Syrian Golan Heights and northern Israel, coinciding with the sounding of air raid sirens.

The Israeli army said in a post on X, “Following the alerts that were activated in the southern Golan area, the air force intercepted a suspicious aerial target that crossed from the east, and another suspicious aerial target that entered the country from the east”.

The post added, “In addition, the Air Force intercepted a suspicious aerial target in the Upper Galilee region coming from Lebanon”.

The Israeli army also announced that its intercepting another suspicious aerial target before it crossed into Israel, without specifying its launch location.

Before that, sirens sounded in many areas in northern Israel, in addition to the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
