Britain prevents two Russian media from covering a conference on freedom of information!
The British Foreign Office refused to grant two Russian media organizations (Russia Today and Sputnik) a provision to cover the events of the World Conference on Freedom of Information to be held in London on Wednesday.
The Russian embassy in London said in a statement that the British Foreign Office rejected a request by the two institutions to cover the events of the conference.
The statement added that the British Foreign Ministry has claimed that the quorum for media coverage has been filled.
The Russian Embassy, the Russian channel today, made its request weeks before the conference.
The statement confirmed that the Russian Embassy in London has filed an objection to the British Foreign Office decision, noting that the decision to prevent the two institutions of coverage was politically motivated.
According to the British BBC network, the British Foreign Ministry has approved the refusal to grant the two Russian institutions licenses to cover the events of the conference, indicating that the two institutions have an active role in the dissemination of misleading information.
