Biden: Zelensky gave me a definitive assurance regarding not use F16’s to attack Russia

US President Joe Biden said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promised him not to use US-made F16 fighter jets to advance towards Russia.
Biden said, after the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan, on Sunday, that he had received “unequivocal assurance from Zelensky that they won’t use her to move forward and move into Russian geographic territory”.
Biden had paved the way in principle for the delivery of US-made F16s to Ukraine as part of a coalition of allies, saying the situation had changed.
Biden has made it clear, for example, that if the Ukrainians make progress, a situation may arise in which they need weapons with a greater range than they currently have.
Biden also said that in the event of a future peace deal, fighter jets could also give Ukraine confidence to resist the Russians if they launch another attack.
