Biden: The Saudis told him they are ready to fully recognize Israel under conditions

During an interview with 360 with Speedy on YouTube last week that aired on Monday, President Biden revealed that he received a phone call from Saudi Arabia expressing their desire for full recognition of Israel.
Biden explained that in return for normalizing relations with Israel, Saudi Arabia is asking guarantees from the United States to provide them with weapons in the event of any attack from other Arab countries or countries close to them.
The US president added that Washington will also set up a civilian nuclear facility in Saudi Arabia, overseen by the US military, with the aim of helping them shift away from dependence on fossil fuels.
However, Biden didn’t address the principled Saudi position that rejects normalizing relations with Israel without a solution leading to Palestinian statehood, a condition that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly opposes.
However, Biden stressed the importance of a two-state solution and the need to implement it.
Biden called the prospect of Saudi Arabia’s recognition of Israel a major game-changer for the entire region.
According to US sources who indicated last week that the Biden administration had a chance to broker a normalization deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia ahead of November’s presidential election had diminished.
