This came in the “Interim National Security Strategy Document” published on Wednesday by President Biden, who has been in power for 45 days.

“The fate of America today is more connected to events outside our shores than ever before,” the document said.

The document indicated that there are many issues that pose a threat to the United States, such as the Coronavirus, global climate change, global nationalism, technological changes, and the rise of competing forces for Washington such as China and Russia.

The document pointed out that many of the problems that the states face is materialistic, such as borders and walls, noting that the democratic system in the world, especially in the United States, is under siege.

The document also indicated that the United States must shape the future of the international system, adding, “This mission is urgent”.

In another context, the document indicated that “the United States in the Middle East will be concerned with the security of Israel, and will deter with the countries of the region Iran’s threats to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of other countries, and it will strengthen its efforts to confront al Qaeda and ISIS.

“But we do not believe that the solution to the region’s problems is the use of military force, and we will not give a blank check to our partners who pursue policies that contradict American interests and values in the Middle East”.

That is why we withdrew US support for the attacks in Yemen.

The document indicated that the United States would no longer spend trillions of dollars on endless wars.

“We will responsibly end America’s longest war in Afghanistan while ensuring that Afghanistan is not a safe haven again for terrorist attacks against the United States and in other places”.

“Our military presence will be the strongest in the Indian and Pacific Oceans and Europe, while deterring our enemies and defending our interests,”.

In the Middle East, we will leave the necessary amount of force to eliminate terrorist networks, deter Iranian aggression, and protect other major American interests”.

The document stated that in Africa, the focus will be on establishing new partnerships for the development of civil society, the economy and health institutions.

The same document stated that the United States will attach importance to international cooperation as well as alliances and partnerships, indicating that there is a tendency to re-establish Washington’s leadership in international organizations in order to find solutions to global problems, especially climate change.

“Diplomacy will be preferable to the use of military force,” the document said, adding “while protecting America’s interests at the global level, we will make wise and disciplined choices in our national defense and the responsible use of our army”.
