Bernie Sanders: Netanyahu is starving children in Gaza

Independent US Senator Bernie Sanders said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is starving the children of the Palestinian Gaza Strip, and that the United States shouldn’t be a partner in these practices.

“The whole world is watching,” Sanders added in a post on X on Wednesday.

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is starving the children of Gaza… We cannot be complicit in this brutality”.

He stated that a very small amount of the necessary food, water, medicines and fuel reaches the Gaza Strip due to Israeli attacks and restrictions imposed on the arrival of humanitarian aid.

Sanders continued, “I cannot find the words to describe the seriousness of the situation, and I don’t know how much worse it could get”.

He pointed out that hundreds of thousands of children in Gaza suffer from hunger and cannot obtain clean drinking water.

He added, “According to United Nations data, all residents of Gaza face famine, and there are about 378,000 people currently suffering from hunger”.

Sanders stated that many health institutions in Gaza were damaged as a result of the Israeli raids, and that a health worker died while trying to save children, describing health workers in the region as “heroes”.

There was no immediate comment from the Israeli Prime Minister on the US Senator’s statements.
