Argentina decides to withdraw from the World Health Organization
Argentinian President Javier Milei has announced that his country will withdraw from the World Health Organization.
In a post on X, Wednesday, The Argentinian President wrote that the prolonged measures taken by the World Health Organization during the Covid-19 pandemic constitute a crime against humanity.
Milei strongly criticized the World Health Organization, saying, “We’ll never forget that they were the inventors of primitive quarantine”.
He added, “This situation means committing one of the strangest crimes against humanity in history, in cooperation with all the countries that carried out their instructions, in accordance with Article 7, paragraph (k) of the Rome Statute of 1998″.
“For this reason, we decided to leave this organization,” he added.
For his part, Argentinian presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni said in a press conference that they had deep differences regarding the health policies implemented by the World Health Organization during the Covid-19 period, which is why President Milei issued the order to withdraw from the World Health Organization.
Adorni said the long-term quarantine measures implemented by the World Health Organization during the outbreak lacked scientific basis and caused significant damage to the Argentinian economy.
