Ansar Allah group shows for the first-time scenes of the targeting and sinking ship Tutor in the Red Sea with booby-trapped boats

On Wednesday evening, the Yemeni Ansar Allah group showed scenes of what it said was the targeting of a ship in the Red Sea with two drones, which led to its sinking.

The videos show the moment when the ship Tutor was successively targeted by two drones and achieved a direct hit in it.

In the same context, the group’s naval forces said in a statement that “several naval weapons were used to target and sink the ship Tutor, including weapons used for the first time”.

On Tuesday evening, the British Navy announced, in a statement, the sinking of the cargo ship Tutor in the Red Sea, after being targeted by a drone of the group on June 12.

“The targeting of this ship came after a ship belonging to its owner, a Greek company who violated decision to ban entry to the occupied port of Haifa,” Ansar Allah group said.

The ship was accused of shutting down the International Acquaintance (AIS) while it was passing through the Red Sea, according to the Ansar Allah group.

While calling on all shipping companies to take their warnings seriously, Ansar Allah stressed that these companies bear full responsibility for the safety of ships and their crews.

In solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been facing a devastating Israeli war since October 7 last year, with US support, the Houthis are targeted with missiles and drones of Israeli or associated cargo ships in the Red Sea.

Since the beginning of the year, a US-led coalition has carried out strikes that it says target the group’s positions in various parts of Yemen in response to its attacks in the Red Sea, which have been met with occasional response from the group.

As Washington and London intervened and tensions escalated in January, the group announced that it now considers all US and British ships to be military targets.
