Ansar Allah attacks a US aircraft carrier and warships in the Arabian Sea
The Yemeni Houthis, “Ansar Allah” group announced on Wednesday that it had targeted the US aircraft carrier Vinson and a number of its warships in the Arabian Sea with drones, as part of “confronting the US aggression in Yemen”.
The group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree, said in a televised statement that “the Yemeni armed forces (affiliated with the group) carried out a military operation targeting the US aircraft carrier Vinson and a number of its warships in the Arabian Sea, using a number of drones”.
Saree explained that this comes within the framework of “confronting the American aggression against our country and in response to its crimes committed against our people”.
On Wednesday, the Yemeni Ansar Allah group announced an “American aggression” that targeted the al Hawak district in al Hudaydah Governorate, western Yemen, with an airstrike.
Earlier on Wednesday, the group accused the United States of launching 1,300 airstrikes and naval bombardments on Yemen since March 15, targeting hundreds of civilians, including women and children, and called for the formation of an independent international commission to investigate these crimes.
