An Israeli Skylark drone fell inside Syrian territory
According to the spokesman of the Israeli army, Daniel Hagari, an Israeli drone, SkyRider (as it known in Israel) Skylark fall in the Quneitra area inside Syrian territory.
The statement of the Israeli army didn’t reveal the cause of the incident, and whether it had recovered its wreckage or not, but said that it had opened an investigation and there was no fear of leaking information.
On the other hand, Syrian sources revealed that the drone, has been captured, and now it’s being dismantled.
It’s known that the original name of the drone, Skylark is an American ground attack drone manufactured by the Douglas Aircraft Company, and is one of the small drones used by the Israeli army for espionage, combing and intelligence-gathering missions.
The Israeli army had previously decided in 2017 to suspend the work of the drones, after it was repeatedly crashed in many occasions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, before returning and resuming their work later.
