An Israeli air attack on southern Syria leaving casualties
According to the Syrian news agency SANA, “two were killed and one soldier injured, on Wednesday evening, following an Israeli air aggression targeting a number of points in the southern region of the country”.
SANA agency, quoting a Syrian military official source, said that “the Israeli enemy launched at 23:40 pm local time (20:40 GMT) an air aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan Heights”.
The Syrian military official source added that “the Israeli aggression targeted a number of points in the southern region,” without clarifying their nature.
“Our air defense means confronted the aggression missiles and shot down some of them, the aggression led to the death of two people, the injury of a soldier and some material losses,” he said.
Israel has occasionally attacked Iran-backed groups and Syrian army outposts since the country’s internal war began in 2011.
