Agreement to conclude a new contract with the French company operating the container terminal in the port of Latakia

The General Authority of Land and Sea Ports in Syria announced the signing of a new contract with the French company CMA CGM, which specializes in operating the container terminal in the port of Lattakia.
The General authority confirmed that the meeting between its chairman, Qutaiba Badawi, and the director of the French company in the Middle East, Joseph Daqqaq, ended with the settlement of financial liabilities related to the previous contract and the conclusion of a new contract with modern terms and mechanisms to operate the terminal.
The meeting with the French company “CMA CGM”, which operates the container terminal in the port of Lattakia, discusses ways of future cooperation.
The Authority announced, in a statement published on its Telegram channel, that an agreement had been reached to settle the financial liabilities owed between the two parties during the period of the previous contract, with an agreement to conclude a new contract to operate the station according to updated terms and mechanisms.
